Retired, long-term pipe and occasional cigar smoker. Limited ingestion, primarily with coffee in the am; occasionally with a whisky in the pm. I find that I am best able to appreciate a tobacco blend when I am calm, slow and somewhat meditative; letting the tobacco come to me, rather than chasing after it with an anxious smoking cadence. I have found I like best my own blends, which may be made on a commercial base of burley and Virginias. Flakes, among commercial offerings, are where I mostly gravitate, but I enjoy variety and wouldn't be long content without wandering into unfamiliar territories! I am now 76, so perhaps an unhurried approach to smoking is easier done than said! 🥃
