A reformed cigarette smoker, I now indulge the pipe, nasal snuff, and the occasional nibble of a GH rope. I'm a sucker for products with high nicotine content. I enjoy many balkan and english style blends on occasion, as a change of pace. My staples are vabur, vaper or viginia flakes and ropes. I also have a soft spot for codger blends such as Carter Hall and Half and Half.

I'm lucky enough to live just up the road from an honest to goodness tobacconist, one owned by a family of pipemakers. 3 generations of pipemaking under one roof. Absolutely wonderful folks, with a fabulous estate selection. I favor classic british shapes, but there are tons of others I appreciate as well. Collection highlights are one Charatan, one Barling, one Caminetto, one Castello, a few SMS meers, seven Savinellis, 5 GBDs, a few Parkers, Petersons, Brebbias, Stanwells, Bjarnes, yello-boles, kaywoodies, baris, hilsons, and comoys. A cool little Tsuge, a couple basket pipes thrown in for good measure. I own 11 or so handmades from the three Kalnitz's who own the shop, some quite old and gorgeous pipes among them. I also collect another local pipemaker, now defunct, named House of Fischer. I have about 13 pipes made by them. Im sure ive left some out, but by virtue of that fact they certainly don't qualify as noteworthy. Lastly, but most certainly not least, are my Missouri Meerschaums. I have an ever rotating supply. Perhaps 40. They see the most action and are smoked far more than the others. I'd like to try clays as well, i just haven't gotten around to it yet...
