Have spent many years collecting waaaaay too many cigars. Enough to open my own store (damned OCD). More than I'll live to smoke, so naturally, I have to go and get interested in the pipe world. Wow...lots of options in each genre, but I tend to prefer stronger cigars, whereas my pipe bacco tastes are like the golf I used to play...all over the course. Current Favs are Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding, McC's St. James, and 2007 Samuel Gawith Christmas(the first 2 are regulars for me; the SG just when I need to be clubbed with a fruitcake in a tin. Currently working on my own blend with an Earl Grey Tea bent...Bergmot oil, some obvious (Va/Bur) leaves, and a special extra taste in the background. UPDATE: health issues left me unable to effectively practice the kind of law I have for nearly half of my life (criminal defense). Pretty tough to sit or stand in court all day when you have a massively unpredictable digestive system (thanks to food allergies and IBS) and two blown disks in your back...and two more compromised. Wife and I opened a cigar and pipe store in a rural area April 1, 2014. While it is generally going well, and I figure it will pick up after we have been in business longer (there isn't a similar store for many miles around), I am reminded of the old saying that a boat is a hole in the water into which your pour your money. A B&M tobacco store is a hole in a shopping center into which you pour your money. Still, it's a lot easier on my body (which feels like a car rusting in the yard), and a lot less stressful than what I used to do. Oh, and I not only worked out an Earl Grey blend, which we sell, but also a Chai Tea blend and a Key Lime Pie tobacco, all of which we sell at our store.

Not much major. I have a great place to smoke, but live in a rural area, so I don't need to impress my wife's rabbit with $3000 pipes. Couple of Nordings, couple of meers, some nice mid quality briars @ good prices, and some cob and eBeaters for the ghosters or "iffy" stuff.
