I mostly favor Virginia flakes and coins, VaBur flakes, and English but enjoy too some classic American "drugstore" smokes. My ratings have roughly a 80% weight on comparisons to other blends in the genre (e.g., how an medium English blend compares to other medium English blends) and an approximate 20% weight on perceived absolute quality.

Bulldogs and billiards mainly, equally straight and bent. I like Savinelli for value and design, Lane era Charatans, and American manufacture/design such as Connoisseur, Wilke, and Barclay-Rex.
