Notes: Flue cured in heated barns these leaves have a high sugar content producing natural sweetness and a mild taste. Mainly used in English mixtures but sometimes found in aromatic blends.
This is an absolute hidden Jem , clean crisp refreshing , no sign of any additives or topping , lemony , bready , with a sort of faint barley sugar taste , very satisfying considering it's not particularly strong . I can enjoy a pipe full of this without having to quit because of the nicotine , although there is some in there. Yes it probably would mix well with some straight burley ,which I can't get hold of at the moment.
Samuel Gawith Bright Virginia. I'll begin this with a simple statement, "if you like Virginia then just smoke this neat". If you don't fancy straight Virginia it would be ideal for bulking out a blend to make it go further though. In all fairness there isn't much to say about this, it is what it is, a mid-strength, bite free, medium brown straight Virginia that comes with a good moisture amount.
