Balanced, unspoiled Mixture, consisting of mainly Black Cavendish and Kentucky and a little bit Virginia. A part of the tobaccos was turned to the Curly cut which contributes in addition to the cinder. A tobacco for smokers who look for an aromatic tobacco but decline the sauced.

Mild to Medium Mild Medium Very Pleasant

On my last visit at Peter Heinrichs Chateau Henri in Bergheim I grabbed sample of this. I don't know why this is listed as an "aromatic", as it's definetly NO aromatic as one might think of when reading the term. It has a mild flavoring to it, which I guess was applied to the Black Cavendish, but it's far from being a goopy-sweet aromatic blend.

The scent from the sample baggie is rather natural, with a touch of honeyish sweetness to it. Tobacco-y, slightly spice&sweet aroma from the unlit tobacco. The Curlys are well made and have a black core that's surrounded by medium-brown and yellow-ish leafs. There is also some bright, loose tobacco in the mixture, partly "chunk"-ish, almost in the shape of a corn-flake, as well as some ribbon cut.

Lighting No. 153 up revealed a tobacco-forward, yet very aromatic smoke, like the description promises. You instantly notice a touch of honeyish sweetness that's always present in the back. It offers lots of rich bready-notes with intense toasted qualities to it. In the back there's a nutty and decently spicy aroma, which I guess is contributed by the Kentucky. Very tobacco-y character, with only a mildy applied flavoring (casing?). The flavoring, which isn't subduing, but enhancing the tobaccos qualities is honeyish, as I perceive it, and maybe has a hint, really just a hint of vanilla to it. Mild spice is everpresent, and also suitable for smokers who prefer a mild to medium smoke.

Bready, nutty, aromatic. This blend doesn't offer too much variety, yet it has rich and intense aromas of fine qualities, that are delightful and easily enjoyable as an "All-Day-Smoke".

Very pleasant room note, so this is a good compromise for smokers who want to enjoy a tobacco-forward blend, but have to take hindsight to their surroundings.
