This is my third blending tobacco by TD, after Burley and Kentucky USA.

We are talking of a medium-fine ribbon cut light yellow Virginia, and even more than the previous couple this is really not intended to be smoked alone (I would roll it into fags instead...).

The tin smell is hay-ish and malty, and comes dry from the tin. Very easy load, mokes easy fresh and not biting (quite surprising!) with the tipical notes of a light Virginia, replicating the tin smell. The strength is just satisfactory. The body a bit empty.

It makes me convinced once again that the flakes are the best expression a Virginia should be smoked. Regarding this fellow, whose good quality is indisputable, I'm enjoying the most mixed with some Rattray's Black Virginia spiced up with some Perique, a sort of home-made replica of Dorisco... and another good thing to do with: dilution of a Semois.

I try to try different virginia. These tobaccos in their pure form without any admixtures and aromas are the basis for a good taste of tobacco. I haven't had a chance to smoke the top rated tobacco products in this category yet, but Torben Dansk Virginia Mysore I think I have something to compare to. For me, it tastes very similar to Peterson Sherlock Holmes. Torben is a bit sweeter for me, less dry. It is right in second place after the mentioned PSH, but only due to the fact that PSH practically does not go out, while Torben, unfortunately, can surprise you in this way. Nevertheless, I rate it high and I am a bit surprised by the assessment that this tobacco receives, for example in comparison to Amphora Virginia. For me, on a scale of 1 - 10 - strong seven. Regards and recommend.

Simple Virginia, with an unusual smell of vanilla, cream and chocolate straight out of the tin that I could have expected from a Burley blending tobacco. It doesn't show any citrus or tangy smell nor herbal scents. Way too sugary at the nostrils. The cut is ribbon and the color is a little deeper than simple yellow.

Fortunately the unwanted cookie like flavor doesn't transfer to the bowl but is replaced by some classic neutral Virginia taste.

Anyway it never goes that much herbal or tangy, the body is rather faint and nicotine punch is low.

The ribbon cut and a limited aging time for this Virginia doesn't allow it to shine and evolve. Anyway it never bites.

It is not surely intended to build some valuable Mixtures, just an average Virginia nothing more, nothing less.

I don't wanna give it 1 star only because it's not awful but It surely isn't special at all.

This is pure straight Virginia and it is primarily a blending tobacco. Obviously you can smoke it straight, but this tobacco is suitable for your own mixtures. Nothing special, just an honest pure Virginia, without any casing or flavoring. In my personal system rating (from 1 to 10) my score is 6/7 and two stars.

As I wrote in others reviews I'm not too fond for blending, but I dislike by far a mess of opened tins and pouches, so I bought this one on a attempt to give the coupe de grace to some (unpleasant) tobacco remainders (i.e. a 1/4 pouch of awful Clan, an anonymous Black Cavendish left apart in a jar and a some others...). Well, smoked alone it's a plain, ordinary, unimpressive Virginia with a certain amount of sweetness and not much else, just a honest to goodness. When mixed it makes its job (as it's intended to be) at least for uncomplicated blends. Two stars.

can't say i like this one. it is very, very sweet, with a pronounced vanilla cookie flavour - and nothing much else. sold as a blending tobacco, its flavouring agent (and i can't imagine any tobacco tasting like this if not flavourized) dominates any blend but perhaps the most latakia heavy balkan. not recommended, except for the lover of aromatics.
