Good quality budget blend. The Virginias here are too spicy in a jalapeno kind of way. I think this blend would of been much better if the balance was leaning a bit more towards the burley. I mixed it with some of McClelland's Vanilla Black Cavendish and it calmed down the spiciness considerably. All and all a decent tobacco but better suited I think to being used as a blender.
Mellow Burley, gently toasty Virginia, that has been lightly sweetened. I can't taste any flavoring per se, just a mild sweetner. Very old fashioned room note. (I like it a bunch) I got no ashy, bitter after taste in my sample either.
A nice, straight forward blend, and a real bargain to boot. I have payed much more for tobacco I enjoyed less. Sometimes, simple is good...It's great with a cup of coffee!
Finck's no longer carries this. It was good while it lasted...
