Medium strength and golden bright Brazilian Virginias, slightly toasted. Neutral, slow burning and surprisingly cool smoking.

Mild Very Mild Mild Pleasant

It is sad to know that the best virginias in the world is planted in south Brazil, but most of it never gets to be smoked in Brazil or even bough by Brazilian brands... it seems candido giovanella is getting better now,and is pretty good to be used in home made blends.

Cândido Giovanella is one of the oldest brands in Brazil. It is produced in the South state of Parana, with the best tobaccos planted in the country. If you only like or are in the mood for authentic English mixtures, don't smoke this tobacco. It's quite aromatic and have some chemicals that may hide the taste of great virginias produced in Brazil. Although you can feel the Cavendish in it. I think Brazilian brands are about the time to make a decent blend, because they have one of the best tobacco crops in the world, mainly in the South. It's a little bit sad to say that this blend is another example of good tobaccco gone down the drain. Not that is extremely awful but it could be much more by its raw materials. Nevertheless, it should be pointed out that it has a quite good room note, medium flavoring and taste. The strength is medium, due to a moderate grade of nicotine. In conclusion, I would say it is a good blend, very affordable and made with very nice tobacco.

The tobacco comes very fresh in the pouch and, for my taste, it needs some drying. Leave the pouch opened for 30 minutes before smoking. The peach flavour is somewhat strong but it leaves a pleasant taste that don't bite and the tobacco taste is not eclipsed by the casing, indicating a high quality and well cured virginia. The "aroma" in the room is fruity and pleased even non smokers. Being an EM smoker this is a good change of pace for me and, to an aromatized blend, it's a very decent, inexpensive one.

Extremely weak tobacco, yet some people say it is perfect for blends. Would recommend to someone who was sensitive to nicotine. Particularly I have the idea that Candido Giovanella is a national classic, so despite the "negative" points, it is a tobacco that deserves to be appreciated properly.

Very Mild Very Mild Mild Very Pleasant

As you open the pouch, your senses are overwhelmed by its sweetness. It's fresh, very fresh from the pouch and a bit moisty, which I do not mind at all.

After smoking a full bow I didn't notice any tongue bite and it kept pretty cool.

By the end of the bow, I didn't notice any flavor change, didn't go sour or bitter at all. It leaves a nice and pleasant room smell, also on my beard. And although the aroma is pretty strong from the pouch, it does not get as strong when burning. In fact, it's a very very mild smell and taste.

I'm fairly tolerant to nicotine, so I couldn't tell if it was too mild or too much on the nicotine, as I've seen in some reviews here.

Overall, I enjoy a lot Candido Giovanella, notwithstanding the fact that it's not a top brand. It's cheap, honest and pleasant. If you are a beginner, as myself, you can't go wrong with it.

Strong Strong Medium to Full Pleasant to Tolerable

This Candido Giovanella Blend is that is sold in a White Pouch or in Bulk. It is also called as "Candido Giovanella White" and/or "Candido Giovanella Traditional".

This is the neutral type, unflavoured.

Is a blend of golden and dark Brazilian Virginias and some Black Cavendish Tobacco.

Sweet, Full fruity note, wet, slow burning (this is good for pipe smoking)

I consider it "a bit" stronger in Nicotine than desired. For this, I not give 3 stars, only 2.

Good Brazilian Tobacco.

Re-evaluation: In ecent pouchs that i bought, it seems even better, Strong tobacco flavour, slow burning wet. Now, 3 Stars for it.

A blend from my country of origin, probably one o the best here. It does not mean however this is an outsdanding blend. It is an okay blend that is mild and gentle and not expensive.
