Very similar in cut to Three Nuns (small thick coins which crumble easily into ribbons), but a bit more reddish in color and with less dark specks. They say it's a Virginia/Perique blend, but the tin aroma betrays its danish origins: I can smell no Perique, and the aroma reminds of chestnuts and tea. Flavor is quite unimpressive and bland, and the tobacco is also a bit bitey: I can taste no Perique at all, just a slight dark sweetness typical of many cheap danish aromatics (though this is not). I suspect that it's virginia with burley and maybe a bit of cavendish (the dark specks). I am not a fan of Three Nuns (the version you can find today, at least), but in spite of the visual similarities this tobacco can't hold a candle to it anyway: and Escudo/Dunhill Navy Rolls is a much better roll/coin blend, by far.
