The best of the handblended Larsen tobaccos that I've smoked so far... but that isn't saying much. The square flakes remind a bit in appearance and smell of Orlick Dark strong Kentucky, but here the similarities end. Bites a bit, and it's quite flat and monochromatic in taste: of the stoved Virginia/Kentucky dark flakes family, this is the least interesting among Dark Star, Butera Dark Stoved, and the Orlick. Hey, I even prefer Rattray's Black Virginia to this! Usual biscuity, caramelized and watery Danish stuff, though I must say that it's not bad and burns well. If you smoke the flakes whole it burns slowly, fresh an with no bite... but the taste is bland all the same. If you rub them out, less relights are needed, but tonguebite can appear, together with some condensation and an even blander taste.
