Selected in a wide range of raw tobaccos, double-fermented Black Cavendish, dark and orange coloured Virginia tobaccos from three continents broadly cut, enhanced with fruit flavours and Orange Liqueur, the mixture provides a complete, mild smoke.
I smoked the entire lineup of Castello blends years ago when they started coming out. I'm told that Castello wanted a range of tobaccos that would appeal to smokers of all types of tobaccos. Bright and Red Virginia leaf combined to make this one a good smoke, but the Cavendish Liquor taste was not really my personal cup of tea. It was cased in the Cav rather than misted which caused the flavor enhancement to really be deep with every puff. I didn't hunt down another tin.
Upon breaking this tobacco from it's 10+ year old tin I was warm greeted by the aroma of what could be described as a strawberry-nougat topping. This tobacco has alot of moisture so fair warning:you will want the tobacco to get some drying time to enjoy it.The effects if you don't-alot of re-lighting,the topping will bite your tongue like a mad dog.The casing dominates most of the tobacco taste but you can still taste the cavendish somewhat. After drying though your tastebuds are rewarded with a tasty dessert tobacco with the classic diversity of Cavendish. Not recommended as an everyday smoke, but makes a delicious after-dinner smoke.
