Here’s another 1Q review for you. The Virginia and cavendish provide some grass and citrus, though they are toned down a bit by the vanilla topping. The strength is mild, while the taste is a step past that level. Hardly has any nicotine. Won’t bite or get harsh. May need a light dry time. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a very consistent flavor to the finish. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and needs an average number of relights. The short lived after taste is weak. An all day smoke.
As far as what my local MPS told me, this is what they call Lane 1-Q. I don't know if it's true or not, but having never smoked 1-Q before I would guess it's what I imagined it to be. Smells of rich vanilla and caramel, and very bright in color. Needs to be dried out for a bit. Smokes decently clean, can be puffed on decently quickly, and doesn't produce tongue bite too often. Doesn't taste of much, but if you retrohale it helps you imagine one, and if your pipe gets a bit wet there's actually a pretty decent sweetness that comes through. Fantastic room note though, my roommates who always complain about me smelling like smoke don't say anything when I come back after a bowl of this. I'd imagine it be good for any beginner.
Pipe Used: Bent Apple of unknown brand I use for aromatics
