W.O. Larsen's 2017 Craftmans Edition offers a quality aromatic combining Virginias, burley and double fermented black cavendish with a pleasing almond top note.
Not bad for an aromatics. (In my humble opinion) Sweet and milky taste. Unnoticeable room note. Mild almond flavouring. Recomendded for daily smoke or anytime desired. Nice and smart box packaging.
Pipe Used: Savinelli Mediterranea with Cumberland stems
Age When Smoked: Right out of the box
Purchased From: DM Tobacco, Muar, Johore, Malaysia
A relatively unremarkable aromatic. Top note is fairly mild and disappointingly not as "almond-y" as I'd have liked. The underlying tobacco blend is sweet and respectably flavorful, but without much character. Smoke is fairly wispy and the scent doesn't hang around much at all. Smoked a full bowl of this in the garage, and could hardly notice it walking in and out during. Not bad, but disappointing considering the great packaging and limited availability.
Other notes: Picked up a tin of this on sale, as almond is always a favorite of mine. At time of review (Feb, 2018), this doesn't seem to be regularly available for purchase anywhere.
