The dark fruity, earthy Virginia forms the base of the blend. The Virginia cavendish offers some citrus, toast, a light grassiness, and a few drops of honey. The lightly woody, spicy, nutty, fire cured Kentucky is an important, ever present condiment. The dry floral, slightly buttery sweet Oriental just rises above being a background player. The fruit topping is enhanced by a little hazelnut, coffee and sugar. They do sublimate the tobaccos to a fair extent. The nic-hit is a step past mild. The strength level is just shy of being in the center of mild to medium. Won’t bite, or get harsh, but it does sport the tongue tingly feeling that Danish aromatics often provide. Burns clean at a moderate pace with a very consistent, deep and rich sweet flavor from start to finish. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a pleasant, long lingering, tingly, slightly syrupy after taste and room note. Not quite an all day smoke, but it’s repeatable. Three and a half stars.
