Please Note: I am trying to work off my back log of tobaccos i have tried years and years ago. In most cases i have no clue anymore when. Or who produced it back in the day. Also my memories are faded by time and those reviews are based mostly on my notes but sometimes i have a current tin for comparison as well:

This blend seems to be a brother to the Original Honey Dew blend of the same maker since both are flavoured with Yucatan honey. Unfortunately i only have tried the Premium Blend and Flake so far and have no comparison.

Pouch aroma of course is of honey but not obtrusive or overpowering the tobaccos used. The flavour is only there to complement the tobaccos and is a welcome change to the tobaccoless heavy aromatics Holger Danske usually does. But there also is a very strong chemical note to it that is so common in Planta blends. That smell dissipates over the course of the pouch but at first is just too strong. The cut is not really ready rubbed but ribbons mixed with broken flake pieces.

Packing and lighting are no hassle and the burning properties are very good. There is no tongue bite either.

The taste is pretty much as advertised: a slight honey flavour accompanied by some nuttiness from the Burley and some sweetness of the Virginia. The taste is very delectable, if given time to let air out the chemical note of the pouch aroma, and it somehow reminds me of the Mac Baren honey scented blends. The flavouring lasts for quiet some time and only gets less during the last third of the bowl. Although there is plenty of tobacco taste until the very end of the bowl.

Room note is of course very nice as well as the aftertaste.

So do i recommend this blend? Yes, i do. Although nothing special or a must have tobacco it is smokeable, but it needs some air around it to mellow out. To me it was rather boring but seen objectively a three star rating seems in order.
